Hi,

can anyone help me?

How long does it take to receive a notice of action since receiving the application?
I have sent the application by mail on April 2, 2003 to SF Office (I-485 application). I've got back my return receipt with the date April 3,2003.
However, I still didn't receive any Notice of Action from SF BCIS.
Do you have any idea how long does it take to receive any notice from them?
Is it normal? It's been almost four weeks since I sent it.

Thank you.
I appreciate any response.

It is not a rule.
My husband received it one day after filing, I received it two months after filing. However, we didn't file together. These are cases with CSC. I don't know anything about the regional offices.

Sit Tight

After going home, pray your dearest god to get the notice of action. If it works thank your god, otherwise just be tensed as the other people even though they can find out the WAC number from the encashed check and curse INS. Nothing else you can do about it.

One solution is bugging your lawyer, which works in sameway.

After all these, try to talk to IIO, again pray god to get the IIO on phone. If two months are passed start the process what I told again.

After all these you may get a Notice of Action receipt.

Then your wait starts for approval. You will be checking your case number online and also checking all the posts.

This SAGA continues.................

I sent the EAD renewal papers to CSC on January 23rd and got the delivery confirmation from the USPS. But, no news from CSC till date. They haven't encashed my check also.

I again sent an enquiry on this to CSC a month ago providing all the documents including the delivery confirmation copy. No response.

Now, I have sent all sets of documents fresh to my lawyer and provided the information about the old application, so that she can follow up on the old one OR re-apply. Mostly, she will go for re-apply, I guess. I have to wait and see.

I thought I was wise avoiding to pay my lawyer for this EAD renewal and sent the papers myself but apparently I am not.

As I sent it by priority mail, I have no evidence that USPS actually delivered my package before updating the delivery confirmation in the web. If they really have delivered, BCIS is doing BS as we all know.

So, keep your fingers crossed.....

Thank you all for the information.
It is really amazing how slow they are. I wish it gets better.
Thanks.
