My 1-485 was filed in October, 2002. I recently received the second fingerprinting notice but could not take the same as I was out of the country. I rescheduled the same and after waiting for two months applied for an infopass with the local INS office. The officer gave me appointment the same day (Oct 14, 2004) and I completed my fingerprinting. The rescheduled fingerprinting notice came one day later. I returned the same to the local INS office saying that I had already completed my fingerprinting. It is now three weeks since I submitted my second finger prints . The current date is June 2003 but my case has not been taken up so far.
I am worried that my case is being ignored or has been forgotten...............
Since my I-485 filing date is well past the current processing date, can I in some way expedite the case. IS there any recourse other than talking to customer service ??
Does anyone know how much time it takes to process such cases? Is there any other thing I should take care of?
