My female cousin came in US after marriage and have 2 kids that were born in US. She stayed in marriage for 6 years and got separated with her husband lately while their I-485 in process. If she takes Divorce before the approval then what her status will be? Also, if she stays separated until the processing then can she claim Green Card? Please advice accordingly….

Employment base; as both (husband/wife) are waiting for the I-485 approval...
Is the I-485 a family based Married to USC petition or an Employment based one? I am assuming married to USC but can never be too sure.

If she is the derivative, divorce before I-485 approval would invalidate her I-485.
