Submit proof of the legal termination of the marriage of mine and Ex-wife. Such proof would normally be a final divorce decree, death certificate, marriage dissolution or other such documentation. In order for the legal termination of a marriage to be considered valid for immigration purposes, it must have been registered with a civil authority.
Along with my I-485 petition I had previously submitted a copy of final divorce decree. I do not know what else they need. When I enquired in India, no separate registration of divorce is required. What I can do? Please help
