How long can one be jobless while I- 485 is pending and the employer has not revoked the approved I-140?

1, 2 yrs?
 
As long as you can afford not working....

So when the time of approval or RFE comes one just needs to have a OFFER LETTER?> thats all., not actually physically started working also?

and when one applies all the AP.EAD then can travel in and out of country during this time of unemployment?

Are we sure?
