I-485 - Interview!

Hi,
PD Jan 1999, EB2, I-485 filed on March 2000. Yesterday I received a notice form INS, VT that the preliminary processing of the application has been completed and it\'s been transfered to INS office at Baltimore, MD. Who will notify me when they will schedule an interview on the application or petition, further inquiries should be made to that office!! - Usually I have heard people getting FP notice 10 months after filing their I-485!Does this notice mean I have to go through an interview! why is the interview? what do they ask for? when will I get my FP notice? anybody in the same situation. Looking for your inputs!

It appears that VSC is transferring all cases from Nov 99 through April/May 00. I haven\'t got one, but, if you follow the board you will know when to expect your Interview.

not clear at all if all the cases in the timeframe you suggest are being transferred. in fact, all we know is that most have recieved FP notices and no more.

i am surprised though that a 2000 RD 485 has been "preliminarily processed" and transferred. does that mean that earlier 485s (say Nov 99) have also been "preliminarily processed" ?!!

who knows whats going on ?
