I-485 Interview Timeline

Hello

Does anyone know how long it might take since the preliminary approval for I-485 until I hear about my interview date at the local (NY) office? My I-40 was approved on Dec. 23rd. I also got preliminary review for my I-485 completed on the same day. Unfortunately my file was sent to NY and I was told I'd be notified of an interview date... Lawyer says 3+ months. Is this correct? What has been your experience? And what do they ask in these interviews anyhow??

My case was transferred on Nov23. Donot knwo what you mean to say by perliminary approval. But, my lwayer said may be 12 months. You rlwayer mey be true as I hav seen a guy getting the ITD in 4 months.check NYcity transfers forum.
