I-485 : Interview time line question.

Gurus,

MY I485 RD is July 28, 04 ND is Aug 3, 04. My local office (Hartford, CT) is running on August 1, 04 for I 485. Shouldn't I get my interview letter by this time? Coz I didn't even do my medical yet. Please let me know if you guys have any experience regarding this issue. I already made an appointment with my local office by infopass. Do you think they might tell me about the status of my case? I appreciate you gurus help.

What was your category for the i-485 ? family , spouse of GC holder or USC or work ?
 
I live in Detroit. My district's processing date had come and gone nearly two months ago. On their web page where they list the dates, a paragraph suggests that applicants should call once the defference is more than 30 days. I went to see an immigration officer at local CIS in mid June and told her the Customer Service (1-800 number) couldn't help me. She said it was common to wait pass the PD and that they were behind schedules. Today I receive the notice for interview in the mail. Nothing is ever updated in my case status page.
