Hi,

My friend just got his I-485 interview appointment notice at Atlanata Office. The detail info is below:

I-485
RD: 05/01/2001
ND: 06/18/2001
FP: 11/2003
Transfer to Atlanta Local Office: 03/29/2004
Receive Local Interview appointment Date: 05/07/2004
Interview Date: 06/07/2004

He sent an address change in 03/2004 that could be the reason to trigger the transfer.

His I-140 is NIW based.

In the cover letter sheet , they ask to bring Photo ID and list items on the attached sheet, but with no sheet attached.

Will the attorney receive the same letter or not?

If anyone has any experience or knows what to bring for the local interview, please share your experience.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Good for your friend

Your friend is lucky that his file got noticed, after full three years!!!

He can go to the local office to trace the missing sheet. It will be hard to find a person that did receive an interview notice from ATL in the recent past (many have been waiting for years). I would guess the typical items CIS would need is to demonstrate wage (higher than the minimum standards), type of work performed (since NIW is the basis), continuation of legal status (avoid 245 penalty), etc.

Please post any additional info that your friend can find related to this exciting (???) event.

Attached Sheet Missing

Did your friend find out the missing attached sheet? What is CIS asking to bring to the interview?

That must be good relief for your friend. all the best to him.

Does that mean Local office schedules interview based on the 485 rd/nd
rather than transfer date.
poongun might be interested in knowing that.

Search NIW interview cases using search button here on this fourm and on common search engine. you will learn more about document required/ they like to see /or should have it for safe side.

No need to worry. just give ur best shot.

Good LUck.

Thanks for keeping me in mind :) Actually, it was always said that Atlanta office goes by the RD/ND dates while scheduling interviews, just as many other centers. However, due to huge backlogs, the dates are just not moving as they should be. I wish, I could relocate to Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL, where processing dates are faster.

Did you know anything about TheRealCanadian? I think, his was an RD/ND of 10/2001 and he may well be the next in line to get an interview notice, I guess.
