Hello forum members:

Case Info:

H1B married to USC - filed for I 130 and 485
Received interview notice for next week
Living separately from spouse because of job and H1 status

Question
- Is there a questionnaire or a checklist of questions that should be considered in general? given our situation?

- How much of a concern is it that we are living separately? is job with H1 a sufficient reason for living separately on a temporary basis?

yes, I think...

..I read about some1 similar last friday, pls do a search about "interview documents" or something similar on this very forum. make sure u have copies of phone bills, letters, emails to each other and other joint proof.

Am in the same boat as you. We were living separately cos' of my job which I had to maintain to keep my H1 status. But I moved with him couple of months back after my husband became an US citizen. We are having the interview on Apr 23rd. We are also skeptical about how it will turn out. Crossing our fingers and trying to accumulate as much joint evidence as possible. Like joint account, joint car and health insurance, both our names on the utility bills, couple of notarized letters from friends and family, joint Costco card, photos, etc... Hopefully that will be sufficient. Other than that just hoping that we'll get thru succesfully. When is your interview ? And which DO would that be? Did you get your EAD? I still have nothing on that ...
