I 485 interview cancelled unforeseen circumstances

I had filed my I-485 application in early July 2008, I received an interview notice on Novemeber 8, to appear at local office in December 2008. Just a week later I received another notice stating that my previously scheduled interview has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Does anyone know what does this mean?
Do you know how long does it take for the new interview notice to come?

it just means uscis has to reshcedule an interview date for you because they dont have enough time, it's not a problem about receiving the notice.

i dont know how long they will reshcedule an interview for you.for me,i got the reshceduled interview about 1 year later.

i hope you're luck!!!
 
I received same “interview has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances” letter.
Somebody explained my DO didn’t get my file in time.
I got rescheduled for the interview one month later.
