I-485 interview and criminal arrest - Please help

My case & my wife case transferred to local office at Newark NJ from Vermont NSC in NEWARK, NJ for them to schedule and conduct interview.
My wife is in H4.

1. Do I need to face the interview with an attorney? Could anyone please suggest good immigration attorneys who deals this kind of cases at NJ?
2. If anyone was or is or will be in my situation, could you post your advises or send me a private message or a mail please?

Reason for arresst:

on Feb 09, I was arrested in violation of California Code 273d(a)PC Child Abuse and put me
in Jail. I came out bail on Feb 10th. This charge was heard by the Superior Court of the State of California,on April 4, 2006. The complaint was discharged on the same day because the court found there was not sufficient evidence for the District Attorney to prosecute.

I will give a brief summary of the incident.

My son is a very picker eater. Because of his eating habits, we often had to struggle to feed him. On or about Feb 9, I hit my son with a metal spoon because he was not eating. In
the process, he incurred small cuts in his hands and arms. He had also incurred bruises on
his leg and cuts on his chest and shoulders due to a falling accident. His teacher noticed
these minor injuries and reported the incident to the school Social Worker.

As you were not found guilty I do not see any issues but do take all papers regarding what you said for interview.

This is my opinion but do talk to your Attorney on this issue.

How would you like to be hit with a metal spoon? I'm surprised the kid is still in your custody. Meanwhile, you should consult with an attorney on this matter.

You practically did everything to your son .. Just for eating habits !!!! Where else do you think you could hit him. YOU should be spanked bare bottoms with huge metal spatula as they use to flip the pizza in the oven. Thats what I wud do ..... I have TWINS and I do not plan to hit them ever. Talk to your child and demonstrate good habits yourself. He looks up to you. He will listen.

Besides .. just take an attorney ... $500 - $1000. You should be okay. Take all papers with you.

spoonboy, it's good your charges were dismissed. Do you regularly sharpen your spoons too? Maybe that's why the kid is picky? It's amazing what people can do with spoons! Watch some Steven Seagul movies for additional info. You can actually kill with a pensil. Either drive it through a person's eye or go for the artery on the neck, with the later case you have to pull it out for quicker results. Live and learn, spoonboy... Goodluck.

Agree with you. This person came with his problem and told us what happened. He may or may not be speaking truth, but we should not jump to conclusions. If people can help, they should, otherwise they just should shut up.

There are 1000's of immigration cases people discuss on this forum that I can tell are all fraudulent. Yet we desist from making comments because we all know how the system works or how it doesnt for someone who goes by the book.

Kartoshkin, if you reveal your case history, I bet there is atleast one thing that wrong or untrue.
