I-485 Interview - Affidavit of Support (Form I-864)

I have the interview next week. As an employment based applicant, is it safe to get the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) form notorized and bring it to the interview?

Is the form I-864 even applicable to such cases?
Is this form a legal document for supporting a spouse's I-485 which is tied to the primary applicant?

Jaganjai,

You do not need the I-864 Affidavit of Support in this case.
You can take it if you like.

Just ensure that you carry a document which shows that you and your wife are still together .. like house agreement/rental agreement which shows both youur names or incase you have children, their birth certificate.
