I-485 ,I 140 Question

I am new to this forum and i wish you GOOD LUCK to every one.

I would like to know the processing date for I 485.Is it based on the PD or Receipt date.

Also i have question abt I 140.Myself and my freind are working for a same company.Both are applied 140/148 in a month difference.He applied earlier .Both are applied to the same ceter (TSC).His 140 got cleared recently.So shall i expect mine also cleared in the same manner .

Your answers are greatly appreciate.

Cases are processed according to priority date. Date the labor was filed by the state.This applies if you are from a retrogressed country and in a retrogressed catagory. Right now EB3's.

Now in your case I see you have a substituted labor. They are supposed to go by I-140 receive date in this case. But many people have been approved and it looks like they were processed according to their priority date.

For those from non retrogressed countries priority date doesn't really matter because a visa number is immediately available to you and the case will get processsed by your receive date. Or so they say. Take that with a grain of salt.
I got my green card and Nebraska says it's not even processing my receive date yet. Go figure.
