I-485 How long it will take to approve the case after FP

MY I-485/EB3, PD is August 18 2000, RD is Sep. 13th 2000, Country Pakistan, EB3 FP done on Feb 20th 2001, REF was sent the same day INS. Does anyone know how long it will take to make a final decision? I will be very thankful for feed back.

Its odd, did you respond to the yellow form? If you did, did the INS still ask you for Employment Varification Letter and copy of EAD cards?

What area/state are you in?

I guess if you had submitted information requested in the yellow form, you could have seen an approval instead of a REF. Any way, your approval may be few days away. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

I did respond back to them with all the recquired documents, Just spoke to the IIO and as per him it will take almost 6 months to make a decision for my case. ( May be earlier) I am crossing my fingers ( Hope for the best for every one and for my self)

You sent the employment verification letter and copies of the EAD with the yellow form AND then you sent them AGAIN, when you received the REF? Am I Correct?

I am wondering if you sent the Employment verification letter and copies of the EAD, then whey did you get a REF to resubmit them.

May be i missed something

I am clerifying this since your case appears to be unique if you sent information with the yellow form and the NSC asked you in a REF to send that information again. I am sorry if I am continue to miss the point. I am trying to see if NSC could send you a REF regarding employment verification even when you submit it with the yellow form. In this case if someone switches a job after the FPs and after the 180 days, he may have to face the employment verfication stuff again and that could be bad.

Did you respond to the yellow form which comes with the FP notice??

Hi: My guess is that, in his original email, Mumtaz Ashraf, erroneously referred the Yellow form as RFE. That is, he should have said Yellow form, but he said RFE. So INS did not ask him again, for employment verification letter. He did not receive any thing after the FP notice.

Since now it is clear you did not receive a REF, it may take you from 1-6 months to get your approval. It could take longer though. Keep us posted and good luck!
