Hello,
My I-140 filing was done with substitution of an approved labor of some other person. I have the receipt of that application.
My law firm tells me that with this receipt I can file I-485 before Aug/17.
Questions
1. Are there any risks in this, apart from the obvious 'what if I-140 is rejected' ?
2. Given the legal provision that one can file with a receipt, I tend to see this like H-1B receipt to work for an employer - thoughts ?
3. Employer insists that we wait for the full approval but the downside pointed out by the attorney is that since I-140 was filed under 'normal processing', not 'premium', we might not get the full approval by Aug/17.
Please share your experience and thoughts.
Thanks.
