I-485 filing while on F-1 CPT status

Hi,
I am currently in F-1 status and doing a co-op on my CPT. I plan to file for I-485 along with my spouse as his I-140 got approved.
What happens to my F-1 status ? Can I continue to work on my CPT and later switch to EAD when it arrives ?
Any information about this issue will be of great help.

You can work on the F1 based EAD. Only thing you should not travel until you het AP.
