I-485 filed and waiting for Security clearance

Guys,

My I-485 was filed in aug, 06 in Texas service center. They are currently processing applications received as of SEpt, 2006. But, still I am waiting for clearance. When checked with them, I was told taht they are waiting for my security check to be done. Is it something abnormal?

LOL....welcome to the world of the dreaded "seucurity check".....either you are new to the forums or you have been living under a rock for all this time to not know about the security check....anyways its nothing abnormal aside from the fact that it might now take you between 6 months to 2 years to get out of the check fiasco.....depending on how hard you pray and how hard lady luck is rooting for you.....just relax and watch.
