I-485 EB2 NSC Jan03 - Got reply from NSC- visa numbers unavailable

I filed I-485, EB2, with NSC on Jan, 2003. I received letter from NSC that I-485 visas are for this year are all used up and new visas will be available only starting Oct this year. This is confusing since I though currently visa unavailability only impacted EB3.

Did anybody in EB2 category else got similar reply from NSC.

Latest update in my case is that I received Biometrics appt notice also with code 2. Not sure what is happening.

When did you get this reply?. As per some postings and visa bulletin .. EB2 visa numbers becoming unavailable in September and available during August.

485 approved !!!! YIPPEEEEE

I just got an email 5 min ago that my 485 has been approved (wife no news yet). My appointment for biometric is on August 3rd. Do I still need to go?

What do I do at this point? Just wait for the card to come? I have an international trip on Sept 30th.

It could be a country specific thing as well ..... maybe your COB has gotten oversubscribed ?

But I'd always thought that if the bulletin says numbers are available, then they would be available for the entire month. So Aug should be available for EB2 for all countries.

Maybe its the indication of impending EB2 retrogression.
