I-485 Derivative Interview

I am EB-3 rest of the world, PD 01July2006. My wife recieved yesterday a letter asking her to show up for interview on 8th October at the USCIS local office. This looks weird to me as she is the derivative applicant. I would think they would call me for the interview. Has anybody been in the same situation? Please advise.
 
She can be called for an interview since I485 is her application - though the eligibility is based on her being your (primary applicant) wife. Though you are right in wondering this but USCIS has its own ways and reasons.
 
Thanks. The Lawyer said it's a usual interview and that we must go. She said they are probably verifying whether we are truly married. I just never heard that a derivative spouse of an employment based applicant get called for an interview.
 
You should expect an interview letter soon for yourself. Normally if the derivative spouse is interviewed they also interview the primary.

I saw that you got your GC 2 years ago. Were you also called for an interview? I didn't think it was common to have interview for employment-based applicant.
 
Now I am also called for an interview. My notice arrived over the weekend. They call it initial interview. Has anybody been to these interviews? What should I expect? What should I bring with me? Please advise.
