PLEASE HELP!!!!!
In brief, I am on H1B visa and I won Diversity Lottery 2010. No criminal background, pay my taxes in time, etc. Filed my case in the end of November ( Case number 19xxx), received I-131 and employment authorization, had fingerprinting done in Jan, 5th. Haven't heard from USCIS since than until April, 13 when online status had changed from " acceptance" to "denial". Interestingly enough, I called USCIS multiple times and went to Chicago USCIS office multiple times ( last one in April, 12) to check what was going on with my case and every time I was told " everything is fine, your case is pending, be patient" . Finally, on April 13 USCIS sent me a letter that my case was denied based on 8 CFR paragraph 102.3(b)(13) section 335.6 if an individual requested to appear for an interview does not appear" . I never received a letter for an interview neither USCIS site showed any information that such letter was sent! I have to say that did not change my address.
Now I realize I have to apply a motion to reopen ...
Did anyone had similar experience? Do I need a lawyer at this point?
Thanks a lot in advance
