I-485 Denied Because of Special Registration Program (NSEERS)
My I-140 was approved in April 2002. I-485 was filed in May 2002 in TSC. My home contry was listed on the Special Registration Program (SRP) or NSEERS in 2003 where all visitors from the countries listed on the SRP are obligated to have interview in the local INS office. In February 2003 I did my first registration/interview.
In August 2003 I traveled abroad using AP and when I re-enter US I was interviewed, fingerprinted and photographed at POE Atlanta. When the officer handed over my travel documents (passport, AP) + I94 she said my next registration is in one year. The 30 days registration is covered today. So I didn't have the 30 day interview.
Recently I sent a Congressional Inquiry Request to a Senator and I received yesterday a copy of the response from USCIS to the Congressional Inquiry Request stated that my case was denied in May 2006
.
Does anybody have the same problem? Can USCIS deny my case because I didn't have the 30 day interview? I did what I was told. What should I do? Please help. Urgent ...
Thanks a lot.
