this is bit difficult to believe but one of my friends' friend got I-485 denial letter from USCIS stating his skillsets mentioned in substitute labor varies from his original skillsets. I have no idea, which skillsets they are comparing against and also when my friend told this to me, it was hard to believe to me as his I-140 was already approved according to him. I am wondering how come his I-140 was approved and I-485 denied with substitute labor issue.

My understanding is : In I-485 stage, USCIS does security checks, Name check , FP, out of status enquiry etc. I don't think 485 has anything to do with checking labor certificate, approved I-140 etc.?

Just curious to know if anyone has any idea on this.

No. It wasn't from the company you mentioned. I am curious to know about the situation I mentioned could be true or not? anyone, any idea?

Strange case

I never heard rejecting I-485 based on skills mismatch. This is a really strange scenario. Ask him to file MTR.
