Hello, new member here. I am writing on behalf of my friend, an immigrant nurse. She got an I-291 telling her that her application for a permenant resident is denied on grounds of abandonment. She missed the first interview, but she made it to the last two. So we do not understand why they say it is abandoned. She has 180 days before she has to leave the country, otherwise she starts to accure unlawful presence in US. The reason why she could not complete her CGFNS certification is that she has not been able to pass her English (TSE or IELTS) test yet. Can you help? Please advise on how she should proceed.
