I-485 delay in process

Hi everyone,

On December 2005 I filed I-485 for me and my husband through work on EB2 category. I received my greencard in May 2005 and my husband is still pending.
This morning we went to an Infopass appointment and we were told that the immigration officer who entered my husband's details to the compuetr made a mistake. The FBI then received his file with this "mistake". The immigration is aware of that mistake but now they are waiting for the FBI to send an "error" message back to the immigration requesting that they correct that mistake and then the file will go to name check.

Has anyone ever heard about such a thing? is there anything we can do about this?

Thanks!

contact congressman or senator

You should contact congressman of your area and follow your case through him. Congressman can't expedite the case if it is stuck in security checks etc but if case is delayed due their mistake, he can help to bring the case on the right track. This is what our congressman told us when we contacted him.

Thanks SMS25.

The case is currently with the FBI. The problem is that now we have to wait for the FBI to send it back to immigration with an "error" message and only then the case can move on.

Thanks.
