I-485 checklist

My wife's I-130 has already been approved and I will a citizen next week.

So I'm getting my I-485 package ready. Here is a checklist I found somewhere else and I have tailored it approximately for my situation


Can someone please review and provide feedback ?

Form I-485 and supporting documents:

Payment in the amount of $1010.00, personal check made payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Form I-485, signed and dated by (wife's name)
Two (2) passport-type photos (with full name and DOB on back)
Form G-325A Biographic Information sheet (4 copies)
Copy of passport (all pages) including I-94 (front and back)
Copy of birth certificate
Form I-693, Medical Examination and Vaccination Record in a sealed envelope

Form I-864 and supporting documents:

Form I-864, signed and dated by (me)
Copy of petitioner’s Federal Tax Return for 2008
Copy of petitioner’s W2(s) for 2008
Copy of petitioner’s pay stubs for the past six months
Letter of Employment for Petitioner
Copy of wife's Tax Transcript for 2008
Copy of wife's W2 for 2008
Copy of wife’s pay stubs for the past six months
Letter of Employment for wife

Form I-765 and supporting documents:

Form I-765, signed and dated by (wife)
Copy of passport page showing picture, name, and date of birth
o Please note: this passport page also includes the I-94, arrival/departure record
Two (2) passport-type photos (with full name and DOB on back, no A number to provide at this time)

Form I-131 and supporting documents:

Form I-131, signed and dated by (husband)
Two (2) passport-type photos (with full name and DOB on back, no A number to provide at this time)
Copy of passport page showing picture, name, and date of birth, as well as the I-94
A letter explaining the circumstances that warrant issuance of Advance Parole document( Is this necessary ? )

was she legally working? do you need this to get past the poverty line?

1.Birth certificate is in English
2. She is legally working and I found out that I just need to file 864EZ

I am in the similar situation...so my wife has to file 864EZ because the intending immigrant (i.e. me) is working? In your case - your wife and in my case - me.
