Hi, folks,

I concurrently filed I-140/485/765 at NSC a month ago. I-140 was accepted but the I-485/765 was rejected due to payment issues. The I-485/765 packet was re-submitted on 7/25/05. We have received all the receipt notice letters (my I-765 & derivative's I-485s) except my I-485 (primary applicant). I checked the status online for those noticed applications and they were all normal. This morning I was able to get my I-485 receipt number from the back of the encashed check and used that to check the status. However, the returned message says: Validation Error(s). The case does not exist. Indeed this number is weird in that it is quite dissimilar to those of our other I-485 or I-765 which are different only in the last three digits. Instead, this number is very similar to that of my concurrently filed I-140. Has anybody had similar problems before? How did you resolve it? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

If you filed I485 based on EB3, USCIS may not accept it now since EB3 is not current. It is strange though your check has been cashed. If you didn't file as EB3, you should ask them.

Call USCIS.

This is a not a common case and your attorney should call the USCIS fix the problem imdly.. (An call from Attorney's office will be better than U calling them)

This is a self-petitioned concurrent EB1-EA for which AOS is current. I have been assigned an allien number on my I-765 application. I wonder whether that is useful when I call USCIS.

A #

Yes -- A# is useful and they will ask for it when U call them. This number ties all Ur application together... and will bear same number in Ur GC too.

Good luck...

Called USCIS

I called USCIS a moment ago. I was transferred to an immigration officer. He told that the my case # is valid and he could see it right there. They need somedays to have technicians put it online (sounds a little weird). He also said that the receipt notice letter has not been sent yet. That may explain why it is not online for tracking yet. Thank you guys, Nadi and IBlelieve, for your helpful suggestions.
