I-485 = Card Production Ordered, I-130 = Pending?

First of all, thanks for the support I have received from community members here in successfully pursuing my Green Card application. As you can see from my signature, I received an email notification saying "Card Production Ordered" on July 3rd.

However, I noticed that while my I-130 was updated on the same date, its status still says that it's "received and pending."

Furthermore, the two background checks I went through for my H1B renewal took 3 months in 2003, and 8 months in 2006, so I am certain that there is no way my checks would be completed sooner this time.

Based on all this, it seems likely to me that the 180-day rule took effect for my case. I am guessing that once I receive the card and have it in my hand, I'll know whether the background check condition is completed or pending.

However, I wanted to share this experience with board members and learn from you guys whether:

1. It's an anomaly that I-130 is pending but I-485 is approved.
2. Has anyone received his/her green card based on 180-day rule. If so, is your I-130 also pending? Does the accompanying documentation that came with the card say anything about the 180 day rule?

I am currently out of country for a month and will not see the card anytime soon even though it may hvae been mailed to my home.

Thanks.

Online status might not be updated on time. 485 status is the most important one, I would not worry about 130 that much. You can expecting your card arrive in the mail in a couple of weeks I guess. :)
