Guys, I did my FP February 18, 2003 and I am glad to let you guys know that the AVM was updated with message that we've received the result of your FP and processing has continue. But the website has not been updated yet, well with this development, I know my case has been assigned to an officer which means I am on my way for April approval by the grace of God Amen.

We have all heard your previous discussions and arguments with Kenny GH about help of God. I am not sure how much you mean it. Your talking about Him again and again, makes me wonder if you are realy serious about God.
If you think and believe that God is really there to help you. Why not use it for a better thing for society and may be for your self. Is getting a Green Card all you want from God? If God has been really very helpful to you why are you in a foreign country, away from your relatives, parents (second to GOD), looking for materialistic gains.
Please note, your continuous mention of almighty for such a small thing (Green card) undermines HIS ability.

I disagree with you, I feel there is nothing wrong in giving credit to God for everything in your life.
God might have some better thing to worry other then this GC issues, but for us it is a huge thing.. Not only GC, but small things as getting job, buying house, even praying for india's victory in cricket match .. etc, etc..

Every person has his own perception about God.It depends on how you look at it. Whatever Jadi thinks it is his peception and he is absolutely right. And also Philosophically speaking, it is good to credit everything in life,to God so that you wont get disappointed if anything goes wrong!!
It is just individual faith and belief otherwise how can you prove existence of GOD ?
So please dont question anybody's faith and belief. Lets have discussion about I-485 related issues.

If getting a GC is because of God's grace, what is the reason for someone's labor/I140/ I485 getting rejected? Because God decided to make his/her life miserable?
If you pray for India's victory in a cricket match and India loses, is it because God decided to listen to the prayers of a fan of the opposing side?
I'm all for everyone professing their individual personal beliefs..
But we need to "get" it. We're conditioned to involve God in all our needs and wants, which is why so many pray to God for a son, for 98.6% in an important exam etc.. and blame God for earthquakes and other disasters.
God exists for each of us to give us strength to carry our burdens and if we fail in any endeavour to have the courage to stand up and try again. God is not responsible for any of the things that happen in our lives. Otherwise it will be a matter of time before we lose faith in God's ability to "help" us (especially after a string of misfortunes)

Capetown, I tend to agree with your pespective.
As Jadi pointed out earlier, you do have to try to do things for yourself however. Sitting back and complaining will do nothing. To Jadi's credit, he has been vocal about getting a petition going and putting pressure on TSC. I personally pray or ask God for many things, as I need to do it for myself.

There is no wrong answer to this type of discussion.. I think we all are right.. If someone feels good by giving credit to GOD, so be it... If you feel otherwise, there is nothing wrong in it.. You said it well ut_aust! Respect for each other and each one's individual beliefs is paramount..
I never meant to question jadi's faith which is admirable under these trying circumstances (I'm probably in a questioning phase myself). Credit does go to him for also trying to do something about this problem we're all facing..
