Hi Guys,

Couple of weeks ago I have called BCIS and initiated enquiry to find out the status. I have received a letter which says:

"The processing of your petition/application has been delayed. All petitions/applications received by this service are required to have a routine security checks that are resulting in delays of the adjudication of petitons/applications. As a result of lack of manpower to complete the checks in a timely manner, we have no control over how long these checks will take. We can give no definite indication of when they will be completed. We aplogize for the delay."

Guys what else can I do? They are not even saying the time frame. I don't know how long I have to wait. Di danybody got the similar response from BCIS.

If they do not have mapower, then how come people with recent RD's are getting cleared and approved? I don't understand, if they donot have manpower to do the checks, then it should effect all of the applicants not just small bunch of cases.

Guys, any idea what might be going on? Is there anything else I can do to expedite my name check process.

You can delete your duplicate, triplicate, quadruplicate, and quintiplicate posts, I think 3 is enough to get the message. :D

I may be on the verge of insanity but still haven't crossed over.

I would suggest pointing it out to the admin folks of this portal.

I received the same response in answer to my status inquiry, except that in my letter they mention FP instead of security check. Have you heard anything since then. Its almost asif they couldn't find our file and decided to give some generic crap answer, MY FP resutls were sent to them by FBI on July 28. Don't know what to do.

Yep,

RD 8/12/2002, FP1 9/02, RFE 1/04, FP2 9/04, and my inquiry response was "...pending service consideration..."

Think my case is used to prop a desk someplace in Vermont?
