Hi all! First of all, great forum - a lot of useful info (and a realization that a lof of people share the same experiences)
I have my i-485 (EB-1, I-140 approved, priority date is current) still pending at TSC, even after the processing date for it became current (filed in April 2005, they now (Jan'06) review July'05 applications).
I called (800)# back in Nov'05, asking that the date has passed and what is happening to the case, and then in 30 days received a generic notice that this case is in review and they will get back to me (something like that).
Our FP were taken back in Aug'05, and since then no online updates were ever posted.
The question I have is this: is there a way to ask for a case status (or rather speed-up a process a bit??? As EB-1 employment-based case with approved i-140 (I filed for myself), this was supposed to be a 1st-priority case, and TSC is taking its sweet time with it, unfortunately... As we haven't seen our families for 8+ years, so it's getting frustrating now
If I were to mail TSC a letter request saying that I have a 1st-priority EB-1 case, still pending after its processing date, and I'd like to know the status of it and the approximate timeline for its approval - any chances I'd get a sane response back? Is there a better way to go about this?
Any advice would be highly appreciated!
