I-485 at NSC still no sign of life! SHould I worry!

Ok, Ok, it's been a week since NSC got my I-485 packet (I mailed it with delivery confirmation). So far, my check has not cleared and I have not got a receipt letter yet! Should I worry?

I will not worry at least till 15-20 days pass by!
 
Wow you expect really fast service from these guys....I know its the US but hell even this is cutting it a bit too fine....LOL....just relax .....it will come around....!

I'm just little confused how you file your I-485? As the priority date is still unavailable for NIW.
 
oh oh! Retro country? what is that supposed to mean? I'm from Brazil. and why is the date for NSC still stuck on september 05??

because of the bispecialisation, it takes at least two weeks to get the receipt notice. So donot worry
 
it's been now THREE weeks and still no signal from NSC!! :confused: no receipt and not even my check was cashed. EVen though they say not to call till 4 weeks (or 30 days) I think I'm giving them a call today.

Did you call USCIS? Any update?
 
I called but the voice system said only had the option of "past 30 days". I figured that a live person would just repeat the same. I saw other posting on the "I-485 NSC" where people waited 3-4 weeks also.

It is a pitty that you hava e no idea what is happening to your application.... Did you check with your post offiice wheather they actually delivered it.... and did you have found out wheather any one who has submitted after you got a recipt for i 485... keep us posted.
 
I used "delivery confirmation" so, according to the post office it was received on august 17. I asked around but nobody has said anything if they applied around that time or after I did.

Finally a sign of life from NSC!

I just saw tonight that my check was cashed from NSC! Hopefully, they'll be mailing me a receipt this week!
