Finally after 8 long years in this country, we can say the magic words. AVM still says case not found. Got the approval notice in the mail today. Thanks to Myladoor and everyone else on this forum, the wait has been bearable.

went for passport stamping today. They are open only on tuesdays and Thursdays. Took about an hour. Took pictures, the approval notice, H1-B with I-94s, old EADs & passport and dropped off in a tray in one of the counters. They called us in after about 1/2 hr, stamped the passport and took fingerprints. Said it will take 6-8 months for the actual card.

BTW, I check the AVM at TSC last night and it said this case is approved. Until last week, it said case not found. Go figure !!!
