I am glad to inform that one of my I-485s has been approved while I was out of country. I entered using AP without any problem, informed to POE that 485 was approved. He checked and welcomed. Thanks for everyone as this forum is very informative and lot of helpful souls around.

Congrats! skvadivel.
It is the I-485 submitted in November 2007 got approved. Your I-485 submitted in the July-August-2007 is still waiting.
My son's I-485 submitted in October 2007 got approved a month ago, while our I-485s (me and my spouse) submitted in the July-August-2007 haven't been touched since the FP in February.

How come derivative applicant's(your son's) 485 has been approved while yours is still pending. I received welcome notices based on EB1(filled in November) where as approval notice based on EB2(filled in July), but the priorty dates with EB1 and the cards based on EB1. Looks like they interlinked the both. I have sent letters to TSC(during my EAD renewal and AP renewal) informing that I have two pending 485 and requested to process one. It looks like finally some one has seen the letter.

You should get your approval very soon.

skvadivel,
Yes, my son's initial I-485 (which was filed in July-August-2007 together with us) was returned b/c the lack of signature (failed at the secretary screening, I guess). We received the bounced back package of my son in October 2007, while we received our receipts of I-485s for me and my spouse. Therefore, I submitted a new I-485 for my son at the end of October 2007. His I-485 got processed fast: receipt in a week, FP notice in a month, approved with no RFE in six months after the FP, following the regular process I guess.
Maybe I call the TSC to find out my I-485? Or write a letter to inform them that my I-140 got approved a year ago? My son's new I-485 did attach with a copy of I-140 approval, while my I-485 wasn't attached with the I-140 approval.
Suggestions? Thanks a million.
