I am happy to share the good news with you all that our green card applications have been approved on Mar 16th. As someone said earlier, the system works, but it is slow in some of our cases. I just wanted to say to all who have been waiting is that don't loose your hope and your day will come soon. My sincere advice to all who have been waiting 6+ months is that do your own followup's thru senators/congressman and all available channels and don't just wait and hoping that things will happen by itslef.

My case details are in my signature below.

This is an wonderful forum. I will be around to provide my 2 cents and share my experience.

Good Luck to all.

How do you know your NC cleared on Dec 2006?

Good Luck to all.

Congratulations! Could you, please, share your experience where to write, besides Senators, Congressmen, Mr. Hooton's office, and Ombudsman? I have tried all these channels, but no effect so far. I am stuck in name check for about 30 months.

Here's what I would recommend (if you are stuck with NC for more than a year) based on my own experience.

1. Establish a relationship with your congressman or senator's office. They can make inquiries with USCIS and get you the latest updates on your case. They can actually get the most accurate information than an attorney could get.
2. Confirm thru Congressman/Senator/Infopass that your case got stuck with NC and when it was initiated, etc
3. Write to First Lady explaining ur situation (you can get sample templates from previous postings).
4. Keep following up (once a month or two) with congressman/senator's office reg ur case status.
5. Most importantly, stay on top of everything on your case and never give up.

Good Luck

Hi all,

I have recently received and RFE regarding my Medical I-693(TB scin test) docs and a few more items for me and for my wife the I-693(TB scin test) + another item.

We have responded to the RFE 3(middle of March) days later and are waiting for reply now. Do you guys believe that since the USCIS issued an RFE for me and my wife's case they were about to approve it and do you think that our name checks have been finished already? Is there a timeframe which we should expect in which our I-485 application will be approved after the RFE has been replied?

I strongly appreciate if someone can answer to me these questions.

Best Rergards,
