I-485 approved yesterday at VSC

I'm a relatively new at this forum, but I've seen lots of couraging threads from this site. I filed NIW at Jan. 6th, 2004, I-140 approved after responding to RFE at June 3rd, and got an email from USCIS yesterday of the approval, looking forward to seeing the news like 'card has been ordered etc.' soon. My wife's case still pending.

congratulations! you are the lucky one. got approved before the retrogression. starting from today, there may be no EB approvals in the next several months.
 
Coyote1969: Do you belong to one of these categories that will be retroed? Just curious to see if they still approve cases where will be affected in Oct. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with this Retro stuff, but if it's about the 'Chinese and Indians' thing, then I'm Chinese.

Would you mind sharing the LUDs of your I-485? When did you get FP done and the LUDs after that would be helpful.

Congrats on your 485 approval. Wish get the same luck before Oct 1 cutoff.
 
Thanks a lot. Looks like that they are still processing cases of Chinese and Indians. That is certainly good news.

By the way, congratulations. You are lucky that you do not have to wait five years like other Chinese. Enjoy your freedom.

Hi Coyote,

Did you file I-485 by yourself? We plan to file I-485 by ourselves? Can you let me know exactly what need to be submitted, is it only I-485 and medical exam? Or need to include other forms like I-130, G-325A and affidavit of support?

for I-485 filings, I'm not gonna pretend that I'm an expert, I've seen lots of helpful comments on this forum and in my case, I achieved that with the help from my lawyer.
