I-485 approved without FP

Last night I got the email that said my 485 was approved. But I didn't do my FP yet(it was schedued on 12/11). I checked online and the 800 phone number it all show the same thing. Is it strange nowadays?I searched the forum, some guys in 2001 also got 485 approved before FP. One question, do I still go FP or just go stamp instead?

I suggest you go and get your FP on the scheduled date.

My I-485 case (at VSC) approved before FP date...

Regular LC began in May 2001.
Took two years get LC Approval

I-140 ND July 1, 2003
I-485 ND Oct 31, 2003
I-140 AD May 25, 2004
I-485 AD Oct 20, 2004 (Priority Date: July 27, 2001)

1st FP Nov. 16, 2004
PS Nov. 22, 2004
Waiting for Card...
