I-485 Approved while I-140 Pending?

Hello all,

I just got an email from USCIS indicating my I-485 has been approved. However, when I checked the website, my I-140 still shows an LUD of 6/14/2004 without an approval. Is this what they are doing with concurrent cases now? Following is my case info. Should I be happy or worried?

140/485 ND: 10/1/2003
FP :5/19/2004
RFE for 485 (Newest I94 and EAD): Sent 10/19/2004, Rec'd 10/29/2004
485 AD: 11/2/2004
 
I guess that is user mistake. I think your 140 approved but not updated in the system.

I have one such case in vsc, wherein 485 was approved without 140 approval, he went and did the stamping also. So don't worry and be happy and enjoy!!!.

BTW u said u got rfe on ur 485, whether u got the rfe or attorney got it.
 
Disregard my previous question. I just got an email from CIS indicating my I140 approval. So, I guess I am all set now. Well, this has been anticlimactic. Anyways, I am very relieved nonetheless. Wish everyone a speedy and stress free 140/485 approval.
Next step, stamping and 'green card'.

when the RFE for your I-485 was issued, did the LUD change online for either I-485 or I-140? thanx,MJ23

The RFE was issued on 10/19/2004. USCIS received it on 10/29/2004. Ever since then, the LUD for my 485 has been changing everyday. But, my 140 shows LUD of 6/14/2004 until its approval which was about an hour ago.

3235_chelsea, Did you get any RFE about employment verification? Why my company keeps telling me everyone gets RFE for employment verifcation?!They may just not want to let us go unless they 'need to'.
 
I am EB3 category. I did not get an RFE for my EAD, but for my 485 RFE they asked for the newest copy of my I-94 and newest copy of EAD. I did not get an RFE for Employment verification. The notion that 'everyone' gets RFE for employment verification is untrue. One could get a host of RFE's and employment verification is but one of them.

Thanks for your information. It seems my company likes us to be a slave as long as possible until they find some better slaves or the slaves get too old.
