Hi

I got Approved I-485 docment mailed to me and it says

The above application has been approved
prior to receiving your permanent resident card you may be required to report for biometrics processing (photo/finger printing/signature). please do not take any action at this time, if you are required to report you will receive another notice advising you of that date time and location to appear, if you have not received your card or the above mentioned notice to appear for biometric processing within 60 days please call the office listed below

Does it mean
I need to go to local office after I get any notice and get stamped OR
just wait for the Green Card,
can anyone know how much time it is taking to get Card from Nebraska office

Thanks
Green

You will need to go to the local office for stamping. They will probably tell you more about the biometrics. From there, takes anywhere from 1 to 6+ monts.

When did you get approved? Also, what was your case - EB1/EB2/EB3?

What is Biometric

-- I got my I-485 approved on June29,
-- It is EB3 with subsititute Labor priority is May 2001

Can I know what is Biometric could you please share infomation.

Thanks,
MyGreen

Unless you need to travel, there is no need to go for passport stamping. Even if you go for passport stamping, you will not do biometrics.

You will either receive your card within 60 days or get a letter asking you to go for biometrics. If you go for biometrics, you should receive the card 1 or 2 weeks later. The process is now very quick, before it took 6-12 months.
