In fact, my green card journey started much earlier on November 26, 2002, when my employer submitted a special handling labor certification for college teachers for me to the California EDD. About a year and half later, the DOL San Francisco Regional Office remanded the application to the State for insufficiency in recruiting documentation. Then, it was sent to the Dallas Backlog Elimination Center, of course. The case is still pending there, as many of you in this forum are very well aware of; the 45-day letter was answered in a timely manner, etc.

Now that my I-485 is approved, what should I do with the old backlogged LC application pending at Dallas Backlog Center (ETA Case Number: D-05178-8****; PD: 12/02/2002). The green card approval makes me wonder what happens to my backlogged LC application. Could the application be adjudicated even after the beneficiary of the LCA has obtained green card? Could anyone in my organization be replaced or substituted on the LC application? I’ve waited exactly four years for the certification, and I sincerely hope someone will benefit from this.

Any input or suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

Michael

Why should you are worried about it since you already got your green card. Your old appliction is likely to be used by your employer for the substitution purpose. I would be less worried and concerned about the old file. I think you are wasting your time thinking and posting about your old case since that application is already dead to you and is under six feet ground.
