I was reading the messages on this board almost everyday without actively participating in it.
Me and my wife\'s I-485 petitions were approved on 01/25/01 (received letters from INS yesterday).
Here are my case details:
Category: EB2 RIR, India
PD: 04/99
I-485 RD: 01/00
I-485 ND: 02/00
FP: 03/00
FP Cleared by FBI: 03/00
I-485 AD: 01/25/01
For those of you who try to interpret what the INS automated system message says, here\'s my experience:
For my case I was getting "Case Not Found" until last week and for my wife\'s case (who is a dependent on me) it was saying ".... takes 240-365 days....".
My guess is the message has nothing to do with exact status of your petition.
FYI, my attorney called INS on 01/25/01 to check on the status of my petition and she was informed that its been assigned to an adjudicator. Surprisingly that very same day our cases were approved. I wouldn\'t read too much into this because our cases were assigned to an adjudicator prior to the lawyer calling the INS.
This board has been very helpful in giving an indication of how things are going.
