I-485 approved: Spent more than 5 yrs in this process.........

Dear Friends:

I have been visiting this website and the ISN website fro more than 3 years...These two websites gave me some moral support..... In my case the whole process was very very slow.I had the regular labor which took almost 15 months to get approved then my I-485 took 28 months to be approved....

I started my Green Card Process in Aug 96 and got my H1B in April 96. My PD was always current... But it still took such a long time becuase of processing delays at every stage...

ND I-485 Sept 99 Approved Dec 10 ,01
Passport stamped Dec20,01 @ Houston INS
I hope that the processing times improve and things get better....
I hope people who are still waiting from 99 get there approval soon...

could you pls share your pp stamping experience in Houston.
What documents did they ask for and how long did the whole process take?

Well I am E-3 country other

I just ahd to take my passport and 2 pictures and EAD card and Parole document... It took less than 2 minutes to get the stamp for which I had to wait for more than 5 years to go through different stages..
