I-485 Approved!! Did not Send AC-21 Letters - Pls Advise..

To All Forum Gurus,

First of All Thanks a lot for all the members in sharing their Inputs and Knowledge..Yes it is and will be a wonderful Site for Ever.

My I-485 (AOS) has been Appproved!! Y'day. The Online Status Message says ,it was Approved on 06th of Octber 2004.
The details of my I-485 filing - RN ( 29-APR-2003) Notice Date (06-MAY-2004). Got EAD ( Valid till 18-JUN-2005) , 2 EAD and 2 AP Renewals done till now.

My Questions are as follows

1. My Wife's LUD on I-485 has Changed , but the Message remains same
( FP collected and pending Review).
Is it Normal with all the cases ? or May be there are issues? Should I call the INS to find out the details or wait?

2. I thought of Sending in the AC-21 Letters to INS regarding my Change in Employer (Switched Employer on 16-AUG-2004) as most of You have Suggested and was Preparing AC-21 Letters, New Employer Letters and waiting for my Next Pay Check to send them all to INS to inform of my AC-21 Portability.

But , in the mean time my I-485 has been Approved. So Please Advise whether

a. I have to still send in the AC-21 Portability documents to INS or not?
b. Should I submit the AC-21 Portability documents while I go for Stamping?
c. Will there be issues later(during Naturalization) , if I don't submit these AC-21 Portability documents before/while Stamping?
d. Can I send these AC-21 Portability documents after Stamping?

Also I am very much worried about my Wife's Status, as It has not Changed yet.

congrats on ur freedom :)

remember ur wifes case is not dependent on ur job. since urs is approved,
its just a matter of time b4 she is also approved

Thanks a lot fast_gc_seeker for your Advise which is not to inform INS. Do You foresee any issues while applying for Citizenship??

u apply for citizenship only after 5 yrs of GC.

per some threads I read USCIS requires the beneficiary
to inform them about change of jobs before 485 approval.
I dont know how will they interpret somebody not
informing them post 485 approval.

Hi,

Is it normal that my Wife's Online Status message did not Change even after 1 week of my Approval? Thought both will be done simultaneously.
