Hi,
I got the I-485 approval notice recently but i had left the employer (not in good terms) after 2 months of filing of my I-485 and had joined other employers but did not persue with my GC processing with the second employer since I assumed that my earlier employer would have canceled the processing.
But later down the road i got my finger printing notice and I went and did that since I did not want to jeopardize the GC processing that was going on from my wifes employer. And now I have the approval notice for the GC processing from my first employer.
I do not know what to do with this approval notice? Any advice would be appreciated.
thanks

Technically you are supposed to work for sponsor. Or instead show AC21 and work for new employer. When you go for stamping- just take suitable employment letters etc from the new employer- you will get thru. The fact that you left him after 2 months of 485 should not matter at all now - sort of too late- buried beneath. Talk to a lawyer and make sure all is OK.

Congrats you have got your GC celeberate!!!

qween,
Have you done your stamping yet?

No not yet! I want to disclose the whole situation to INS and even after that if they still give me the GC then i am fine with it or else I prefer withdrawing.

I don't know who is advising you in all this. But you don't have to disclose or hide anything. They have approved you- there is no RFE no interview- it does not get better than that. They would have given you stamping instructions- just follow them and be done. Legally you are completely in the correct.

qween ,
Go and get the passport stamp then think. once you get the GC ,
who cares man. If you want to work with previous employer for 6 months anytime.
my suggestion is go and get the stamping then enjoy.................
