Folks, finally my ordeal is over. PD 1/97, ND 8/98, FP 2/99. It was tough to watch a number of my peers with ND after my case being approved. Tried to be patient but called VSC nearly every week and always heard the same response (3-4 more weeks). Please check my earlier posts as I also had to deal with an "intent to deny" on my I-140 which was amended and approved on 10/4/2000. I have been a regular visitor to this board and want to thank all the people who have been a source of patience and information. Will post details on my stamping which I assume will be in Hartford, CT.

1.Did you receive the RFE because of company name change
2.When did you receive the RFE
3.When did you reply to the RFE
4.Is INS acknowledged the RFE
5.Did you receive the new EAC Number

1. Actually I recvd an "Intent to deny" as VSC claimed that my I-140 was erroneously approved as EB2, whereas I should have been an EB3.
2. Recvd notice on 8/23, attorney replied in 8/31 asking VSC to amend my existing I-140 to EB3 from EB2. Acknowledged by INS on 9/7 and approved I-140 on 10/4.
3. There was no new EAC numvber issued.
My ND was 8/28/98 and EAC # for I485 is EAC-98-244........

Brar, congratulations. Why was your original i140 approved under EB2? Was it your request(i mean did you write your job needs BS+5 or MS+3) or INS did it on thier own? let me know pls.
