at the end of july 2003 I contacted my state senator's office in order to veify my AOS application ( transferred from KY in Jan. 2002 to Arlington, VA - interview date 12/04/2002 ); they confirmed I was approved after undergoing a background check but as today 09/17/2003 I haven't received ANYTHING in the mail..
anybody waiting for a reply from arlington???
pls. help!
 
I think you should inquire at Arlington, VA office. They are a snail-pace INS/USCIS office but even then, you have waited too long. Suppose they indeed sent you an approval notice and it got lost in the mail, then your green card would be delayed without getting passport stamped first. Also check this thread.

that is true, but I'm still in contact with the senator's office and they just sent another inquiry to the office: I'm sure they will reply to the senator's office before they reply to me!!
I HAVE to travel and I'm just waiting and waiting..
