All,

I got I-485 receipt notice with date 4 February, 2002 on this document. When do you think I could get GreenCard? Any help

Also, I heard I must do an interview for the Greencard.

Lastly, the day I have the "greencard" stamped into my passport, can I then leave employer A that same day?

Go to this site -

Read the info about 'Adjustment of status I-485' under 'GreenCard' section. That'll answer most of your questions.

As far as greencard approval - BCIS is approving cases filed in Nov. 2001.

Also, register yourself at -
http://www.rupnet.com/immigration

It's a very good tracker and will tell you more about when you can expect your approval.

++ Its the ebegining of the affair jaanoo. A long way to go .. lol

Reg Q1 - currently as the earlier person said, Nov 2001 cases are being processed.

Q2 - You may or may not be called for an interview depending on what the BCIS (INS) does - you need to get your passport stamped though.

Q3 - You can leave your employer immediately, but it might create some problems when you file for citizenship.
