I-485 Approval Notices Received!

I got approval notices for my and my child's I-485 today! This has finally happened! I still cannot come back to my old self after the news!
Thanks a lot to the participants of this forum! I learned a lot, and I got encouragement here at the Forum at the times of the worst despair.

I was stuck in Name Check for 31 months! Here at the Forum, I got valuable information about sending FOIPA requests, letters to CIS Ombudsman, FBI, and even the First Lady. And I wrote these letters, and this actually worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure which letter was the most important - probably, all together, in a synergistic manner. Also, after I got a phone call (I understood it was a call from CIS Ombudsman) about my name check cleared, I asked the local Congresswoman to check my status. A few days ago (April 30) I got an e-mail that my case has been assigned to an officer for final adjudication, and I should wait for 2-5 weeks. But I got an approval today!

I wish good luck to everyone who is waiting for their name checks cleared. Do not give up! Do not feel depressed and anxious! It will come.

My advise to you - do not sit and wait, do not rely upon your lawyers who might be interested in keeping you as clients as long as possible! Write letters, act yourselves!!!! As soon as I took control over my immigration case myself, I got the result. It was too stressful for me, though! After sending letters to Congressmen, FBI, Ombudsman, and the First Lady, I started having nightmares... It took lots of my vital energy and time. But now it is over! My lawyer did not help me at this final stage: he was just taking money on per-minute base for every tiny question or even information of my actions from my side. He was keeping my requests to Senators for long time. With the first request to the Senator, he was keeping my form for 3 months and then sent it out just a few days before election. This Senator was not elected. Then he was delaying sending the inquiry request to the other Senator, and I have never received any response! And I paid lots of money to the lawyer for his not doing anything constructive!!! Then I decided that I should better forget about lawyer's assistance, I am a literate person, and I can write letters myself! DO IT YOURSELF, if YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
