I-485 "Application Type"

My first post here. Have learned a lot thus far.Thanks.
I have a question.
F-1, currently on OPT.

I married a US Citizen about 6 months ago. I filed my I-130 and all supporting documents. I also filed my I-485, only to be rejected because in the Application Type field, i put "option 8. OTHER" - married a US citizen - http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/i-485.pdf

I was told that this was incorrect.
Can someone please tell me what I did wrong. Which opetion should i have selected. I thank you !

Option A is your thing, I believe - from the plain reading: "... or a relative... visa petition filed with this application that will give you an immediate visa number if approved". Re-file with your I-130 attached - or, better yet, check with someone who's more competent than I am - I'm not a lawyer or expert in these matters.

i was thinking the same thing - but was really not sure. my mother put option 8. OTHER and Married a US Citizen, and her 485 was apporved - i am so confused here.
