I-485 application for wife only before Retrogression take over!!

Hello All,
I have a approaved I-140 petition. My employer told me they will take care of my green card but they will start after 3 months. I am on H1B now and my wife is on H4.

As you already know everybody is rushing to file I-485 before Sept 30 th deadline because Retrogression is coming into effect from Oct, 2005. I am confident my employer will renew my H1B.

Is it possible that my wife only apply for I-485 with my approaved I-140 so that she can take advantage of the EAD and AP before retrogression take over and I will remain on H1B untill my company sponsor for my I-485.

Is it possible?

If you are Chinese or Indian, go ahead submit 485 for you & your wife ASAP.
After 9/30, both of you won't be able to file 485, let along EAD and AP. Use your 140 approval notice to get this done yourself as I don't think any lawyer can help you out next week (company hired lawyer is slow).

I beleive Primary beneficiary should have pending I-485 along with dependent to avoid complications! It is good idea that you file I-485 for both!
